NatalInsight is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

NatalInsight is the data controller for the personal data you provide when ordering from us. We are based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at admin@natalinsight.com with any data protection queries.

When you place an order, we collect the following personal information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Exact time of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Current location
  • Current life stage / age range
  • Main area of personal focus (e.g. relationships, career)
  • Brief personal background or key life events you choose to share

We also collect standard technical data through our website and payment data is processed by Stripe — we do not store your card details.

3. Why We Collect This Data & Legal Basis

We collect your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To fulfil your order — Your birth details are required to generate your personalised natal chart report. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To deliver your report — We use your email address to send you your completed reading. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To process payment — We use Stripe to handle payments securely. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To comply with legal obligations — We may retain transaction records for accounting and tax purposes. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. Special Category Data

The personal background information you share with us may constitute special category data under UK GDPR. You provide this information voluntarily to help personalise your reading. We process it solely for the purpose of generating your report and with your explicit consent, which you give by submitting the order form.

5. How We Use AI to Generate Your Report

Your birth details and personal background are used as inputs to an AI language model (provided by Anthropic) to generate your personalised reading. Your data is submitted to the AI solely for the purpose of generating your report and is not used to train AI models. Please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com for further information.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with the following trusted service providers:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic — AI report generation
  • Brevo — email delivery
  • InMotion Hosting — website hosting

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your order data for up to 2 years from the date of your order, after which it is securely deleted. Financial records are retained for 7 years as required by HMRC. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

8. Data Security

Our website uses SSL encryption (HTTPS). Payments are handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store payment card details on our systems.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data
  • Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

Our website uses essential cookies required for the checkout process and website functionality. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.
